About MV Plover

Built in 1944 at Bryants Marina in Seattle, Washington, the MV Plover was used as a foot passenger ferry for the Alaskan Packers Association's cannery on Semiahmoo Spit, now home to Semiahmoo Resort. This nostalgic vessel ferried the cannery workers and townfolk back and forth across the mouth of Drayton Harbor until 1964.

Today, the Motor Vessel Plover has been restored to its original look and is again plying her original route, no longer carrying cannery workers, but tourists, visitors and townfolk.
